Samuel Clarke Farm Open House

We are pleased to announce that the Samuel Clarke Farm Open House, originally planned to take place in May 2020 but quashed by Covid, is once again on the calendar! On Sunday, October 9, from 12-4 PM there will be tours of the historic 1691 house, outbuildings, and cemetery, along with musical entertainment and refreshments. The Farm was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 2019, and you will not want to miss this opportunity to view this historic property. Rain date October 10.

All proceeds will benefit RHS. The Society was recently awarded a Champlin Grant to re-side the Bell School Museum. However, between receiving the grant and starting the renovation, prices for materials have skyrocketed beyond the original estimate, so this fundraiser will help to fill the shortfall. The school is a symbol of the Richmond community and will be celebrating its 200th anniversary in 2026, so we want the building to be in tiptop shape!

Details: The Farm is located at 106 Lewiston Ave, Richmond, RI 02892. Parking is in the field off of Shannock Hill Rd.

Tickets: $30 per person; $40 includes 1-year RHS membership. Tickets available at the door and at Clark Memorial Library in Carolina.
